Shayna Komar R.D.L.D
Shayna Komar is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian in Atlanta, Ga.. She completed her undergraduate degree in Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise at Virginia Tech and her medical dietetic internship at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. Shayna currently contracts with Cancer Wellness of Piedmont Hospital where she provides individual counseling, cooking workshops and group lectures for cancer patients and caregivers. One of her passions is to educate clients on how to utilize food for the amazing power it holds. After being named Distinguished Oncology Dietitian of the Year in 2006 from the American Dietetic Association, she has been given the opportunity to speak all over the United States including Las Vegas, NV for the Oncology Nursing Society and Greenville, SC for the Healing Journeys Annual Survivor Conference. She is a certified group fitness instructor and has been teaching group fitness for over 15 years. Shayna resides in Marietta, Ga with her three sons and husband.
Nancy Waldeck
Nancy Waldeck is passionate about eating better, enjoying life and food. A breast cancer survivor who loves translating nutritional recommendations into delicious and easy meals, her skills and enthusiasm have taken her from the kitchen crew at the TBS cooking show Home Plate, all the way to Africa where she served as Chef Instructor at the United States Embassy in Burundi. Nancy believes that food should be fast, fun, healthy AND taste great! She has served up her better eating philosophy with a monthly cooking segment featured on Everyday with Marcus and Lisa – a nationally syndicated live TV show and by teaching cooking classes at the Cooks Warehouse and Cancer Wellness at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta. She is a frequent presenter at corporate and charity functions, and is the holder of the Advanced WSET certificate from the Wine and Spirits Education Trust. Her enthusiasm for wine and food is evident each week in The Friday Four, an unique e-zine containing a mouthwatering recipe, quick wine tip and 2 valuable kitchen ideas.
